You can also get additional 1GB for additional 300/= each month. I think that should be enough for you as long as you don't use FaceTime extensively. But with Mobitel you have to check whether they have 3G coverage to your area.

Dialog has way better coverage but I don't personally use that and can't comment on their packages. Check on their websites.Ravinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07429048092323127801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3954302668852040031.post-75807884802589882262012-07-22T21:03:01.317+05:302012-07-22T21:03:01.317+05:30@Neth

Although the iPhone 4S is a world phone, Sprint might have disabled your GSM chip when you bought it with contract. In a case like this, the phone will be "factory unlocked" for any CDMA providers only. But I don't have any personal experience on this and I'm just speculating. The best way is to contact Sprint and get more details.Ravinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07429048092323127801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3954302668852040031.post-6697261264704378052012-07-22T20:55:20.835+05:302012-07-22T20:55:20.835+05:30@Unknown

I'm in SL for two months and tried to put a Dialog micro SIM into the phone, but I keep getting a msg saying the SIM is incompatible. All Sri Lankan mobile carriers use GSM.

But, you need to check your UK carrier's policies to be 100% sure about their support for GSM.

If you unlock your iPhone via your current UK service provider, the phone will become 'factory unlocked'. If your service provider already uses GSM, the iPhone will work in Sri Lanka as well. But if your carrier is using CDMA, depending on their policies, they might not enable the GSM chip on your phone, rendering it incompatible with Sri Lankan carriers.

So I advice you to check with your carrier, although usually there aren't any problems with factory unlocked iPhones.Ravinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07429048092323127801noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3954302668852040031.post-86127454105542940612012-04-26T05:41:52.422+05:302012-04-26T05:41:52.422+05:30I was wondering about this factory unlocked phones...I was wondering about this factory unlocked phones.
